The Flavor Grenade pluots have a smoother, slightly sweeter and fruitier flavor than the Dapple Dandy pluots. The Flavor Grenade are also only mildly tart. Much less tart than the Dapple Dandy.

A pluot is a cross-breed of plums and apricots. The pluot is a little bit more plum than apricot and includes more than 20 different varieties, each with a unique color and flavor. The pluot is a fruit in the prunus genus, which includes apricots, peaches, cherries and almonds.
