Bite sized scoops of freeze dried vanilla ice cream.
The ice cream is scooped into small bite size pieces, frozen, and then freeze dried.
The process of lyophilization (freeze-drying), removes 98% of water from the original ice cream, resulting in a unique, crunchy, creamy treat.
The result is that the ice cream becomes shelf stable (in the unopened bag) and won't melt for up to two years.
The ice cream retains the exact same flavor, but the texture changes. The ice cream becomes crunchy when you bite into into it. But rapidly changes texture in your mouth. It becomes increasingly creamy as you chew it. It almost feels like the chunks of ice cream are melting or dissolving in your mouth.
